The objective of this work is to predict the macroscopic elasto-plastic material properties of a jet engine turbine blade loaded by a cyclic centrifugal force. The blade is made of titanium material reinforced by silicon carbide fibers. DIGIMAT(the nonlinear multi-scale material & structure modeling platform) analyses were first successfully performed to predict the influence of the fibers volume fraction, orientation and aspect ratio on the composite’s elasto-plastic properties. CADdoctor is used to simplify the geometry and then finite element analyses were performed on the fan blade with ABAQUS |
